11.11.08 // New Stuff ^_^
Okay, so first off - I got my new laptop ^_^ It came in the mail Friday, so I've been using it all weekend and such. I still use my desktop, but I've been using my laptop a lot...so yeah.
I really love mac, wah! I had so much fun just flipping through spaces today while working on stuff. The efficiency of everything still amazes me, lol ^_^ It's very lovely. I also have been using keyboard shortcuts like crazy, like [command key + w] and [command key + q] for everything. I'm not sure if those work for Windows [the w one at least, which is to close the current window] but I never used them, and they help especially when on a laptop where even the extra space on the trackpad is limited compared to a wireless mouse. Nevertheless, I am pleased ^_^ I also got to do four person video conferencing with my friends; it was pretty awesome ^_^ The video chatting works with people on AIM also, but I think iChat just tends to work better betweens macs - the picture was a lot clearer.
Hmm, so what else has been going on. I am nearly done with college applications; I have supplements to submit! But at least the Common App stuff is out of the way. All my essays are there [for the most part] just need to edit them...
11.01.08 // November!
November is here and you all know what that means - College Ap deadlines are fast approaching! In my school, the guidance department wants all the paperwork they need to mail out by November 12th or so, so that means I seriously got to get cracking on my essays, and unfortunately, I'm not making much progress because I keep changing my essays [like right now; I'm rewriting my common ap essay completely >.< but the newer versions are tending to be major improvements, so hopefully it'll pay off]. I still have a bunch of supplemental stuff to do wah!
Schoolwork isn't letting up either >.< I have a test on The Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man by James Joyce, and while it may be a classic, I don't understand stream of consciousness well at all >.< It's quite confusing for me *sigh* Calculus is also starting to well...get kind of hard. I know how to do the short cut for derivatives, but I'm unsure what it all is still...I'll have to do something about that.
